Damsels and Their Lilies  E-mail this product to a friend

I am not what would be called a 'point and shoot' photographer.  I take a lot of care and time in the preparation of my shots and I plan every aspect of the final image before I press the shutter.  However, I do have to acknowledge luck when it occurs and it occured while taking this shot.  I was using a telephoto lens to compress this image from foreground to background and initially didn't notice the two damsel flies on the left because I was so far away and concentrating on the flowers.  What a bonus!

Again, this shot was taken at Fairchild Tropical Botanican Gardens in Miami, Florida.
